St. Vincent de Paul (Indian School and 51st Ave) is a private, Catholic school serving 620 low income students, PreK-8th grade. It’s an exciting time to be involved with this peaceful, happy, service-oriented community as they’re beginning to send more and more students to Brophy, Xavier, and Bourgade for high school.
The Principal Enrique Diaz ’78 would love for us to help expand the minds of his students through Clubs–robotics, chess, environmental/sustainability (they have a garden)–anything you’re interested in! Meeting perhaps every other week (or weekly or monthly) after school. He’d love for us to organize a Career Day in the spring as well.
We’re also welcome to tutor students learning English and to listen to kids in St Vincent de Paul’s Accelerated Reading program–we’d help them with their pronunciations etc.
If you know of an organization that may like to donate to or help with the school’s renovations, parking lot re-striping, or construction, the growing school would greatly appreciate it!
